Hi! I'm Emily,
and I'd love to be your photographer.
I graduated from a small liberal arts school in upstate New York in 2009 with my BA in Studio Art. Originally intending to work for Disney for five months on a College Program internship, I ended up becoming a permanent transplant to central Florida and worked as a PhotoPass photographer for almost two years. During that time, I realized that I wanted to be in creative control of the images I created for people, and decided to start my own company so that I could capture the magic on my own terms. E. Gilbert Photography was created in the fall of 2010 and I never looked back.
As a self-proclaimed geek, I love all things nerdy & kitschy. I'm a foodie, but I also have a strange affinity for junk food & all things overly salty. I watch way too much television while I edit my photos. I love anything Baz Luhrman or Wes Anderson. I could listen to true crime podcasts for hours (and often do). I love Firefly, Jurassic Park, Star Wars, and anything & everything Disney.
I love capturing weddings of all kinds, but I specialize in telling the stories of couples who choose to express their love in less traditional ways - ways that feel true to who they are. If you're planning a wedding that's styled after your personalities, I might be the right photographer for you.
My favorite, can't-live-without-it food is sushi, with a close second being any & all desserts.
My signature hair color is very ginger, but I occasionally switch it up to red or green!
Autumn has always been my favorite season, and I very much wish Florida had changing leaves.
I binge watch my favorite TV shows while editing photos, most often The Office, Parks and Rec, or Schitt's Creek.
I'm a Slytherin...when Pottermore told me I was a Ravenclaw I created a new account to take the test again.

Emily was AMAZING!!! Choosing Emily was the best decision we made out of all our wedding planning.
